About
Selçuk Çınar
Architectural & Commercial Photographer · Melbourne
Selçuk Çınar is a Melbourne-based photographer who specialises in architecture — and brings the same eye for light, line and proportion to commercial, portrait, sports, fine-art and street work.
After graduating from METU’s Chemistry Department, Selçuk spent 13 years in IT before committing to photography full-time in 2013 — following the path of his grandfather, Mehmet Ali Öztemel, one of the first photographers of Antalya.
Over a decade he completed more than 200 courses and graduated with honours from Anadolu University’s Photography Department. He is a certified drone (İHA) pilot, adding aerial photography and video to his practice.
His projects span Turkey — Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya, Eskişehir, Bursa, Izmir, Erzurum, Gaziantep and Samsun — as well as the United States, Dubai and India. Now based in Melbourne, he works with architects, developers, brands and individuals across Victoria and beyond.
The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.
